LYF This Week (4/3-9)

Hello all! LYF has no event this weekend so that you all can spend Easter Sunday together as a family, but here are some things to be aware of:

Summer Hospitality Signups: We’re still looking for volunteers to do one of these three things: 1) Host an intern for dinner 2) Host the youth group for a devo or 3) Provide dinner for LYF on a Wednesday night during the summer. Click here to access the google doc and signup for one of these three things. If you’re unable to edit it, let me know and I can sign you up. Thanks in advance!

Wednesday Night: This upcoming Wednesday night will be teaching focused. I’ll be giving a lesson on discipleship. What is a disciple? What does a disciple of Jesus do? What does it mean to be called by Jesus? When you agree to follow Jesus, what are you agreeing to? What is the purpose of following Jesus?

I’m really excited to give this lesson for a couple reasons: 1) I believe being a disciple of Jesus is a perfect summary of the purpose of the life of a Christian. 2) I think students need to see that Jesus believes in them.

Spring Retreat Deadline - Sunday 4/9: Spring Retreat will be April 21-23 at the Reeve’s cabin just off the Cherhola Skyway. The cost will be $40. Students can register here.

Summer Calendar: The summer calendar was released late last week. Click here to download it and save the dates! Also pay attention to the deadlines for the big summer trips.
