LYF This Week 4/10-16

Hello all! Here’s some LYF related news to be aware for this week!

Spring Retreat: This past Sunday was the deadline to register for the Spring Retreat. Anyone not yet registered that would like to attend should contact Trey asap. Spring Retreat will be April 21-23 at the Reeve’s cabin just off the Cherhola Skyway. The cost will be $40. We’ll plan on meeting at Laurel at 5:30 Friday 4/21, and students should eat dinner before arriving at the building.

Wednesday Night (4/12): This upcoming Wednesday night will be a 4 for 30 Wednesday. We’ll provide dinner for everyone starting at 6:00pm. For our service project we’ll be partnering with Project Linus to make blankets for ill/traumatized children. We have enough materials to put together 15 blankets. We’re asking everyone bring a $10 donation to cover the $110 worth of materials. Any extra $ will go towards future 4 for 30 service projects.

One Awesome Celebration (4/16): One Awesome Celebration is this upcoming Sunday from 5-8. We’ll start with dinner in the LYF room before moving to the gym for some other games. We’ll also have a brief devotional. Students in 4th and 5th grade from Laurel’s Children’s Ministry and/or JustLead are invited to join us in order to get a taste of what it’s like to be in the youth group.

Summer Hospitality Signups: We’re still looking for volunteers to do one of these three things: 1) Host an intern for dinner 2) Host the youth group for a devo or 3) Provide dinner for LYF on a Wednesday night during the summer.
