LYF This Week and Next 6/1-6/11
Summer is here! That means there’s a lot going on this week!…and every week….for the next 8-9 weeks….So these weekly updates are gonna be super important for everyone wanting to stay on top of everything LYF has going on. I’d recommend bookmarking the LYF home page so you’re only ever a few clicks/touches away from the most recent update.
Here’s what’s going on with LYF this week!
Service Project - 6/2: Friday June 2nd we’ll meet at Laurel at 8:30am and begin making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to deliver to the homeless around Knoxville. We’ll also deliver some of our previously assembled care packages and bottles of water before having lunch together. Students should bring money for lunch. We’ll plan on being back at the building by 1:00pm.
Devo at Ty and Kimberlin’s - 6/4: Sunday night 6/4 Ty and Kimberlin will be hosting the youth group for a devo from 5-7 pm. Dinner will be provided. Click here to register. Ty and Kimberlin live in Powell, and their address will be sent out via remind the day of the devotional.
Wednesday Nights are Fun Now - 6/7: Wednesday Night’s Are Fun Now! This upcoming Wednesday is our last Wednesday in town for a couple weeks. Open gym will start at 4:30. Dinner will be provided starting at 6:00, and youth group will start at 6:45.
Tubing in Townsend - 6/8: Thursday June 8th we will head to Townsend, TN to go tubing with River Rat. The plan is to meet at Laurel at 1:00pm and be back around 6:30pm. Students should eat lunch before coming to the building. On our way back we will stop at Ron and Missy Clark’s house in Townsend for a cookout. The cost is $18 for students 13 and up and $15 for students 12 and younger. Click here to register. Students should register by the end of the day Tuesday 6/5.
Middle School Camp - 6/11: Students signed up for Middle School Camp will meet at Laurel at 3:00pm on Sunday June 11th. JT will be driving the bus up to the camp. Click here to download the packing list for middle school camp. Anyone not signed up that wants to attend must register by the end of this week.
High School Devo - 6/11: While the middle schoolers are at camp, the Peek’s will be hosting a devotional for high schoolers at their house from 5-7. Dinner will be provided. Click here to register your high schooler.
