4 for 30

Hello friends!

Kimberlin and I have been talking about what we can do to grow our Wednesday night youth group participation. Simply put, we just want the youth group to be together more so that we can know and love one another more deeply and sincerely. We know Wednesday nights can be a difficult time for some families to get to the building, but we’ve noticed in the past on “special occasions” we usually have more students present on Wednesday nights. For this reason we’ve decided to make one Wednesday a month a special occasion of sorts.

One Wednesday a month we’ll be doing something called “4 for 30.” We’re calling it this, because we’ll be meeting at 6:00pm and doing 4 different things, each lasting 30 minutes. We’ll spend 30 minutes eating together (and LYF will provide dinner for everyone), 30 minutes doing some sort of service project, 30 minutes connecting with God through worship, and 30 minutes connecting with one another. The first 4 for 30 will be Wednesday February 8th. We’re hopeful that by having one “special” Wednesday a month we’ll be able to 1) spend more time together and 2) start seeing some friends we don’t usually see on Wednesdays.
