LYF Update
Hello Friends! Here’s a quick update regarding everything that’s going on with LYF!
1/29 - Open Gym: On Sunday 1/29 from 3-6pm we’ll be having an open gym at the building. Dinner will not be provided, but we’ll have snacks and drinks available. The NFC championship game will be on the projector, and we’ll have the ping pong table out for Pisagi, half of the gym reserved for basketball, and a couple of tables set up for board games. The end time is listed as 6:00pm, but I’ll be staying until the NFC championship game is over.
2/5 - Glow in the Dark Celebration: Our next Celebration event will be Sunday February 12 from 5-8pm and will be glow in the dark themed. We’ll have black lights and plenty of glow sticks for everyone. We’ll play a lot of fun games using the black lights and glow sticks. Dinner will also be provided. Click here to register.
2/8 - 4 for 30 Wednesday: For a link to more details about this new recurring Wednesday night program click here. In summary, 4 for 30 Wednesdays will be a monthly Wednesday night that will be a little bigger/longer than our typical gatherings. We’re calling them 4 for 30 Wednesdays because we’ll spend 30 minutes eating, serving, worshipping, and connecting. LYF will provide dinner for any students/families that come for 4 for 30. 4 for 30 Wednesdays will last from 6-8, and the first one will be Wednesday February 8th.
2/12 - Pour: We will have another event on Sunday February 12th. Because this is Superbowl Sunday our plan will be to do POUR from 1:00-2:30. This gives families time to grab lunch after worship and be done in time for the big game. SALT will meet immediately after worship and lunch will be provided for them.
2/17-19 - Winterfest: The deadline to register for Winterfest is this upcoming Sunday 1/29. Click here for all other details about Winterfest, including a registration link.
Those who have already registered can go ahead and watch the Winterfest rules video and fill out the Winterfest rules quiz. This is required for every student who attends.
The plan for Winterfest will be to meet at Laurel on Friday 2/17 at 4:30. Students will not need to eat dinner before arriving. A packing list will be available shortly
Homeless Care Packages: I want to remind you all about the care packages LYF has put together for the homeless. Mine sat in my car for about 5 weeks, but just this week I’ve given out FOUR of them. For whatever reason our homeless neighbors have been out and about in need of help. If you don’t have a care package in your car you can grab one from the LYF room. Let’s make it our goal to get rid of all of the packages we made before Winterfest.
