Gary Guyette

Gary Guyette is one of Laurel’s newest elders, having been installed in February of 2019. Gary has been at Laurel since 1984, when he came as a Freshman at the University of Tennessee. Gary graduated from UT with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He met his wife, Sherri Starks Guyette, at the Christian Student Center at UT and they were married at Laurel in 1989. They have three children. Zach is a graduate of Lipscomb University. He lives and works in Knoxville and attends Laurel. Shaun is currently attending Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, TN and is active in their campus ministry, University Christian Student Center. Melanie is in the eighth grade. Sherri home-schools Melanie, who is very active in Laurel Youth Fellowship.
