July/Early August Recap
Alright let’s all take a few deep breathes....Summer is over! I say this with a great amount of sadness but also a great amount of relief. Our interns left this past Sunday after doing a truly amazing job connecting with and investing in our students. If we could have Caden and Melanie every summer for the rest of time, I would commit to that right now. Be sure to shoot them a text and express your love and gratitude. Since our last LYF update we’ve also been on a 12 day Mission Trip to Kona, Hawaii. The mission team will be giving a report on how our trip went this Sunday 8/11 during worship so don’t miss it! And if you do miss it you can catch the recording on Laurel’s youtube channel. We also finished out the summer with a trip to Six Flags and a lock-in. The weirdo-tour was one for the ages. It was truly an amazing summer of growing closer to God and growing closer to one another, but I’m excited to get back into a slower rhythm that allows for more time connecting with students, parents, and volunteers on a smaller scale.
